You may be asking yourself, "What does a photographic mapping squadron from World War II have to do with labels?". As it turns out, the 3rd Mapping Squadron plays a pretty big part in the history of Unique Label. Owner Judy's father was a photographer for the squadron. When it came time to design a military appreciation pad, one idea thrown around was to create the side of an old bomber complete with old style nose art. While researching period nose arts, trying to come up with a G-PG rated one, it was suggested that we re-create the 3rd Mapping Insignia and use it. That nose art, as you see it here, was re-created from a photograph dated November 1943. With this design we  honor those brave men that took to the skys to create intricate and up-to-date maps for the use of our ground and air troops.
